While it’s been cold for some time, warmer weather is in the forecast, and with warm weather, we are going to be experiencing some melting snow and ice. To prepare for the melting, consider the following:
- Be sure to clear your downspouts so they can route the water away from your house
- Watch for ice dams, and be prepared to remove them if needed
- Clean any storm sewers
- Check to be sure your sump pumps are operational.
A little bit of work today can save you from a big headache tomorrow.
